The Law of Relativity

When we think about the Law of Relativity, it may bring to mind Einstein and his scientific theory of general relativity. When it comes to the Universal Law of Relativity as one of the 12 Universal Laws of Manifestation, the premise of the Universal Law is more personal and offers opportunity for personal growth.

What Is the Universal Law of Relativity?

The Universal Law of Relativity is the Universal Law of Manifestation positing that everything is relative in relationship to something else. While there is absolute measurement, any time that which is absolute meets another that is absolute, there is a relative relationship between to two. It is this relative relationship which establishes meaning amongst them, and, this relative relationship is what gives what is “absolute” its absoluteness.

For example, you may be absolutely 5 feet 2 inches tall. However, determining the meaning of this data point may only come into discretion through relativity. Relative to someone who is absolutely 4 feet 3 inches tall, the 5 foot 2 inch individual would be taller but next to the 6 foot individual, the same 5 foot 2 inch individual would be shorter. Likewise, our classification of 6 ft as being objectively tall is a relatively made declaration.

In truth, all demarcation and difference is a matter of relativity because even 4 being different from 2 and thus distinguishable is a matter of the relative relation amongst the numbers and the things which they represent. Without relativity, we would all just be back at Divine Oneness.

What Is the Point of the Universal Law of Relativity for Intentional Manifestation?

The Law of Relativity is the Law which governs our perception and the meaning we make out of our situations and circumstances. This Universal Law establishes that we are absolute and sovereign in one (consider the Law of Divine Oneness to better understand this point) sense but in another regard our qualities will be demarcated with different measures according to whom we stand beside in the works of measuring.

The way by which we relate to one person thereby has both to do with our qualities and their qualities as we can have the same qualities with different people, events, and circumstances and derive different meanings from each relation as a result of relating.

Additionally, when it comes to intentionally manifesting our dreams, desires, and aspirations, it can be important to consider with whom we are relating and that any challenges which we meet in life are not absolutes but areas to respond through relating. The point of the Universal Law of Relativity in Intentional Manifestation comes down to how we choose to relate as this makes the difference between growing or repeating a pattern.

While it is true that there is no such thing as good or bad or superior or inferior in the grand scheme of things according the the Law of Relativity, it is important to recognize that as humans there are experiences which we would prefer. The Law of Relativity can help us to realize what these experiences are and thus help to function as a tool that enables us to recognize if we have actualized the potential that makes us the most fulfilled.

How to Use the Universal Law of Relativity Intentionally for Intentional Manifestation?

When it comes to intentional manifestation, understanding the Universal Law of Relativity can help us to understand that anything we experience is a chance for us to relate and thus to establish the frame through which we see and thereby relate to the world.

For instance, while we may be manifesting our dream, desire, or aspiration, unless we are a true revolutionary, there is someone who likely already has the thing which we are manifesting. When we meet such individuals, we have the opportunity to relate to them through lack or through abundance. Likewise, when we have superior aptitudes to someone, it is important to remember that someone else has superior aptitudes to us.

Here are some ways that you can practice using the Law of Relativity with intention in your Intentional Manifestation practice:

  1. Practicing gratitude for what you do have

  2. Realizing that jealousy is a sign reflecting areas where you would like to improve

  3. Understanding that good and bad is less absolute than it may seem

  4. Practicing acceptance rather than judgement

  5. Being less identified with your qualities and character traits and instead seeing them as an opportunity to grow and express

  6. Understanding that being the best and the worst is a relative thing

  7. Taking things less personally and understanding you are in a web of relation
